Going Out

The most famous mountain in Nanchang is Meling, a fantastic place to spend a weekend exploring and hiking with friends, away from the hustle and bustle city life.

There are so many activities for teachers to get involved in, such as fishing, cycling, making pottery, tasting Chinese tea and of course learning Mandarin- plus its residents are super friendly, and always keen to talk to foreigners.

Meling is a fascinating holiday resort with many facilities and beautiful landscapes.

For those looking to explore further there are numerous options. Lushan National Park in Jiujiang city and Mount Longhu Scenic Area in Yingtan city are both amazing spots to experience nature and learn more about Chinese traditional culture.

Tengwang Pavilion is an imperial building more than 1,300 years old. Together with Wuhan’s Yellow Crane Tower in Hubei province and Yueyang Pavilion in Hunan province, it is one of the “Three Great Pavilions” of China. The famous essay in Chinese literature written by brilliant poet of the same period, Wang Bo, brought the pavilion even great fame.
