School Introduction:

Chel-C UK Education are London based education company. Their parent company – Keyword Education is a well-known education corporation in the sector of English training for young learners in China. Founded in the UK in 2007, their headquarter is Shenzhen.

CHEL-C have 23 teaching centres located in big shopping malls across all districts in Shenzhen, and more to be opened in other cities this year, and have over 100 foreign teachers.

Chel-C are currently offering an early arrival bonus of £400/$550 for teachers who can start in Shenzhen by the end of April and £300/$450 for teachers able to arrive by the end of May.

Classroom:

The role:

Your focus will be teaching and practising oral English with young learners aged from 3 to 16 years old in a maximum class size of 10 students. The students are divided into different classes according to their age and English level. The basic English level classes are usually supported by a Mandarin-speaking teaching assistant in the classroom helping to organise the class.

Structured teaching material and lesson plans are provided to assist the teacher’s lesson preparation and delivery. Teachers typically use games, songs, dances or free flowing conversations to get students engaged with the aim of developing students’ interest in language learning and building up our students’ abilities to use English in real life.

Salary Package:

• RMB16000 (after probation), for 53 academic teaching hours (ACH) per month (1 ACH = 45 mins) For those with 2+ years teaching experience
• RMB13000 monthly salary for Junior Teachers, i.e recent graduates or those without 2 years of post-graduation work experience
• Any additional teaching hours paid at RMB 90 per ACH

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• Native English speakers
• A TEFL Certification is preferable (Company in-house TEFL sponsorship available)
• Energetic and enjoy working with children
• Friendly, patient and responsible, with good communication skills
• Willing to work and live in China for at least one year
• Teaching experience is desirable but not essential

Accommodation:

A shared apartment in provided for your first month in Shenzhen, while the school’s HR Team assist in finding you a long-term apartment. Note that an accommodation allowance is built in to the salary package.

Shenzhen

Shenzhen is situated in south-eastern China and is known for its fantastic shopping and international vibe. The city also features some of the worlds most modern buildings. Shenzhen is one of China’s wealthiest cities and is very popular with visitors as it’s a short distance from Hong Kong.
