A high-profile Chinese family require a teacher with a solid educational and teaching background to teach their 7 year old boy.
The family is native Chinese; therefore it is essential they require a Native English speaker to assist their child with his English, both verbal and written.
The teacher will work five days a week (including the weekend), providing the parents with daily updates on the child’s progression and weekly learning plans.
A minimum of 2 years’ teaching in the UK is required.
The family have a lovely home in Beijing, and would ideally like the teacher to live in a private area within their home. Should you choose to live outside, this cost will need to be paid yourself.
Given the high-profile nature of the family, additional information about their home and background will be provided to candidates subsequent to application.
The Student
Your student will be a lovely boy who is 7 years old, and attends an international school full-time. He’s very active and enjoys running, swimming, cycling, football and outside games. The candidate will be required to love sports and need to drop the boy off to these activities.
Working Hours
The working hours will be five days a week, 3 afternoons in weekday from 3pm – 8pm and 8am – 7pm at the weekends. Some flexibility will be required to accommodate the parents schedules.
The start date is as soon as possible but with flexibility for the right candidate.
Candidate Requirements
Personality wise, the family are looking for someone with a positive ‘can do’ attitude who is also flexible and generally active. It’s important that you can be a role model to the child.
Due to the family having busy, professional jobs that include worldwide travel, the teacher is expected to travel with the family, which of course will be fully paid for. Travel can be anything from up to 1-2 months at a time. Destinations include Europe and within the Asia.
- A PGCE/ Master’s of Education and qualified teacher status, with a minimum of 2 years teaching experience
- A love of sports such as football, swimming and cycling
- UK citizen
- Private tutoring experience would be a bonus
- A flexible, adaptable, energetic personality
Salary Package
£40,000 – £60,000 per annum, depending on educational background and teaching experience
Fully paid for world-wide travel
Annual vacation allowance to be negotiated
Monday and Tuesday off work
